Personal Training is an essential part of one's fitness journey, helping to build a strong foundation in technique and balance while showing us how much more we can push ourselves.
However, the client's commitment outside of sessions plays a crucial role in achieving long-term success. Every choice counts--- and this blog shows you how.
Nutrition: Fueling Your Progress
Besides to fulfill the desires of our appetite and please our tastebuds, the right foods will support your energy needs and cellular processes for growth. repair, and maintenance of tissues.
Tracking our intake of Macronutrients (carbs, protein and fats) is important because it gives us a clear starting point for adjusting our habits to reach the desired results.

Sleep: The Secret Weapon for Recovery
Sleep is not "overrated".
Not only does not getting enough sleep increase our chances of chronic diseases, and obesity, but it also decreases our focus, which can lead to poor decision making.
Getting the proper sleep (7 - 9 hours per night) allows our muscles time to rest, repair and grow. It also helps boost our energy and mental clarity, both of which are essential for a good workout session.
Other Activities: Progress Beyond the Gym
Walk at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days per week or go for a jog or bike ride for 30 minutes- 3 days per week. Notice landmarks and set small personal goals to beat your previous walk, jog or bike ride (i.e. on Tuesday, I will walk slightly faster to make it past the house with the yellow door but within the same 30 minutes as Monday).
You're your own competition! Embrace your unique journey and resist comparing yourself to others because you never know which chapter they're on. Remember, your chapter 1 is just as important as someone else's chapter 10!

Schedule a session for your personalized plan!
Incorporating accountability through regular check-ins and outside personal training sessions can boost motivation and provide guidance along your fitness journey.
